About the Rescues

We’re fortunate enough to partner with amazing rescue organizations who do tremendous things for the rescue pups in their care. We’re proud to support them and help them show their rescue pooches a little bit more love with a cozy blanket – and we strongly encourage you to support their important work or to visit them to find your next best friend!

Do you know a great rescue who you think we should talk to, who would appreciate a handmade blanket for their rescue pups? Drop us a line!

After seeing stray dogs living on the streets of foreign countries, Marianne Cox was compelled to found Street Dog Hero in 2017 to save the lives of as many of these stray dogs as possible. Since then, Street Dog Hero has saved hundreds of dogs from Mexico, India, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, China, South Korea, Albania, as well as from overcrowded shelters right here in the US – helping them off the streets and into their forever homes. Their mission is to “Help street dogs around the world by providing transportation, medical treatment, adoption placement, awareness and education” and we are so proud to support them in these efforts!

Started by Brook Benson in April 2016, Puplandia Dog Rescue is a volunteer driven Oregon nonprofit organized and operated to facilitate the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs while forming partnerships with other local rescues, shelters, veterinarians and businesses. All the pups are placed in volunteer foster homes where they can be evaluated, receive needed medical care and training, and be matched with their forever home – and they’ve rescued over 300 dogs so far!

Pacific Animal Society is a nonprofit organization created in 2014 by Alycia Hadfield (the dedicated animal rescuer who helped Enzo find us!) as a group of animal advocates on a mission to fill the gaps in the fight to prevent animal homelessness. Staffed by over 25 volunteers with no paid staff, Pacific Animal Society provides educational programs and transports, supports other animal rescue-related organizations, and organizes mass trap/neuter/return events, in addition to rescuing, fostering and finding loving homes for pets in need! We’re proud to work with them to help them fulfill their mission of “Building a better world for animals through education, outreach, and inspirational programs.
